As a Local Web Desisgner,
I don't know about your business, your sales, target market or competitors. Whoever designs your website, will need at least some basic info about your business. I have listed some questions below to help you get started. These web questions will also help you with your business by questioning what you are doing right (and what you are doing wrong).
For best results, a Website Developer needs as much info as possible
- Your business name, address, phone number, company registration number of business?
- Will you have your personal name on the site? This will help build trust and sales.
- What is your professional background?
- How long are you in business?
- Why are you in business?
- What Products / Services do you offer?
- Do you offer gift cards? What amount?
- Why should I buy from you?
- Why should I not buy from your competitors?
- What experience do you have?
- What qualifications / standards do you have that would be recognisable in your business? Such as RECI (Registered Electrical Contractors of Ireland), Safe Electric or The Construction Industry Federation.
- Do you give refunds (within a certain number of days)? Will you beat any quote? E.g. by 10%?
- Do you offer a free estimate / quotation?
- Do you give any guarantee and for how long?
- Do you have a set price list? Again, this helps build trust.
- Do you offer any discounts i.e. 10% Off or Buy one, get on;e free?
- Will you offer a commission if someone refers a friend? E.g. 20%?
- Will you be using Facebook / Twitter or other social media? Only use if you intend to update at least twice weekly.
- Any other relevant info?
