You walk by a Sports Shop
with a 50% Sale on. You enter the shop only to find that the 50% discount is only off certain items they are trying to clear. Other items such as Nike Runners, have recently been increased from €100 up to €200 and back down to €100 (with 50%) Off. Would you be a happy bunny?
Now picture two identical websites
The first listing their prices and the second without any prices. Which will get more sales? The first as people will stay on the website more and read through the prices, this decreases their bounce rate and increases users' time on the website, which increases their SEO rank, which increases their users, which increases their sales.
Lots of website clients tell me its difficult to give a price. It's not. Much like a menu in a restaurant, break down the prices. You can sell a meal for €10. If you want chips add €2. If you want a drink, add €2. If you are a builder, you can give estimates, e.g. €100 - €500 per square metre, if you want gold plated tiles then add €1,000.
Contact us for prices
May have worked in 1990, but not anymore. A much better option than stating on your website "Contact us for a free quote". Potential customers want to trust you before contacting you.
